Eastern Highway Specialists is thrilled to have received the Delaware Contractor's Association Governor's Safety Award for 2020. It was a challenging year, with both a full slate of ongoing projects, but also safely navigating the Covid-19 pandemic. The award recognizes excellence in safety performance and is given to applicants after a close study of the frequency rate of total recordable incidents, and a review of documented safety programs, policy and management support and ongoing safety training and orientation.
Special recognition to Troy Gatewood, Dave Lewicki and Mike Sheehan for recently qualifying as all position welders from the American Welding Society:
March 2021- EHS has begun work on a contract to repair two historic bridges, built in the early 1900s, in Ottsville and Buckingham, Bucks County.
The work includes replacing existing concrete bridge deck beams; repairs to the concrete substructure; constructing concrete approach slabs; upgrading the bridge railing and guiderail; and new paving.
